About Us
Hello Friends! Welcome to our Web site. My name is Donna Munoz and I live in El Paso, TX. I have three children  (twin boys and a 3-year-old son), and two bonus children (my stepdaughter is 14 and my stepson is 17). My husband and I are loving life right now!!!

I created this Web site to find other Godly Stepmoms out there so we all could form a community of support for each other. My prayer is that we can help each other through the challenges of stepparenting by prayers, conversations and new friendships.

If you need to contact me, my email address is thegodlystepmom@live.com.

I look forward to learning from all of you, and offering my support.

God bless you all each day as you continue in his will and love for your children.

You are Called!

I Corinthians 4:2  "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful."

I Peter 4:10  "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."

In fairytales and even real life, there’s such a thing as an “evil” stepmother. She’s cruel, abusive, disrespectful, ugly, selfish, uncaring… shall I go on? But none of those traits resemble YOU (because if they did, you wouldn't be online looking for stepmom help!). You on the other hand try your best to be friends with your stepchild/children. You try to please your husband. You love them. Maybe you never even scold your stepchildren (in fact, they might run all over you). So you have to ask the question: “Why on earth am I having so many problems?” “How did I get here today?” “What am I doing wrong?” Here comes the best answer you could ever hear:

Girlfriend: God chose YOU for this very purpose.
And in what He has placed before you, He will endure with you.

This is the calling and the plan He had for you since before you were in your mother’s womb. This is your ministry. Only you can be this child’s (or childrens') stepmother. And no one will ever be prepared to do it better because God put you in this situation.

What a Responsibility!

This responsibility wasn’t given to you lightly and it wasn’t given to anyone else. You are God’s servant in the capacity as a stepparent. Isn’t that amazing? You are doing a work that God called you to do? Is it easy? NO WAY. Are you going to be perfect at it? Definitely NOT! Is it worth it? YES!

Psalms 18:2  "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."

Through the fire you will be refined. Through the battles you will learn to seek God like you never have before. After all, and trust me on this one… you will hit a point where you are physically and spiritually exhausted and maybe even depressed. You can’t understand the feelings you are having and they will get so empowering that you will find yourself dropping to your knees one night on the bedroom floor and sobbing while you acknowledge to God that you forgot to make him a part of the plan and you’ve been trying to work things out on your own terms.

You are Changing a Life!

God is good. He has a plan. You are going to influence your stepchild’s life. You will be responsible for some of the greatest and some of the worst moments of their life. You are going to be a witness to their growth. You are going to be someone that they will never forget. You have officially been embedded into their hearts and lives (whether they want you there or not right now). Learn how to be a good steward with what God has given you. Friend, you are now officially accountable for this life. It’s time to trust God with his plan.
